Two days ago I broke a needle (still haven't found the tip) on my PR670e and after replacing it I kept getting wipe errors (means the knife isn't cutting) so after looking up the issue I cleaned the bobbin area really well and put it back together. I still got wipe errors so I took it apart farther and cleaned really well around the knives then put it back together again, it sewed for a few minutes then I got a trimming sensor error. I am new to multi-needle machines, my previous machines were all 1 needle so I am on a huge learning curve. I did some online research and tried cleaning again...still the same error, this morning after looking at it for two days I decided to take apart the arm to make sure the needle tip wasn't stuck somewhere, after stripping the head of a screw and freaking out because I thought I destroyed my machine with a broken needle my husband came upstairs and fixed everything. I didn't put a screw back in the right place and every time I tried to sew the fixed blade came loose and stopped the machine. So lesson learned I have no clue how to fix anything mechanical, my husband is going to be my repair guy from now on. Part of me is saying I can do it because I know how to fix it now but... meh, I don't know!! So glad I have my 2- 10 needles so no downtime. Oh, I still haven't found the piece of needle I broke off it's probably in the carpet and I will step on it some day...might be a good time to vacuum.
