I have been running my embroidery machines since early this morning getting orders ready to send out in the morning. Today is my birthday and I enjoy being in my studio so its been a good day.

I recently traded in my Brother PE770 (2) and PE800 (1) for Brother PR670E, PR1050X & PR1055X to expand my business so that I can create a wider varity of items. My new PR machines have more features than my one needle machines so they took a bit to get used to. With my other machines I could hear the machine running and know if I was going to have a problem and I have finally started to pick up on the sounds of the new machines. Knowing how the machine sounds when it's running smoothly as opposed to when there is an issue has been a life saver, or I should say project saver, when the machine is having problems if I can stop it before it becomes a real issue it saves me time having to start over or fix the problem before it gets really bad and ruins my project.

Over the last week I kept hearing a squeak on my PR1055X and these machines all have to be oiled daily to keep them running smoothly and then every 40 hours the needle bars need oiled. When I kept hearing the squeak over a few days I couldn't figure out what the problem was so I would stop it and oil it thinking I was missing something, then one day after oiling it several times I stood in front of it listening to that little squeak and worrying about repair costs  and I just happened to see a hoop frame that I had stored on the cart that the machine sits on, I touched it and the squeak stopped. After thunking myself on the forehead a few times I rearranged my cart and no more problems. An easy fix for a seemingly insurmountable problem. I am still learning little things about all of these machines and I am sure I will for a long time to come.
