Oh, what a week this has been and it's only Wednesday! We had what was left of Hurricane Ida move through, thankfully we only had lot's of rain and wind. I truly feel for the people along the coast who have lost so much. Normally because we are so far inland we just get what is left as it moves through.
Because we had tornado warnings and power outages in the forcast I haven't done a lot of embroidery as of yet this week. I don't like leaving my embroidery machines plugged in during really bad weather, first, they are very loud and I wouldn't be able to hear the tornado warning sirens. Second I have been told by some to unplug them in case of power surges because of the electronics, better to be safe than sorry.
While I wasn't sewing I decided to clean, and maybe it was the stress but I ended up moving everything around......again. I have had problems since we moved here settling on a decent layout, I thought I had it the last time I moved everything until my husband came upstairs and said that I needed to move my 6 needle because it was vibrating too much, it isn't on a cart like my 10 needle machines, I had it setting on a low cabinet that wasn't very stable which was causing the vibrating. And it was setting more toward the middle of the room instead of a wall which I guess gives less support, he said it was better to have it closer to a wall where there is more structure, and I moved it to a more stable cabinet. So my craft room looks a mess, I have so much in this room that it causes a domino effect, move one thing and everything else needs reorganized. I dream of a day that I can settle into a permanent layout, it would be awesome!!
